Fairfield Electric Cooperative members are encouraged to sign up for peak alerts. There will be a drawing on December 15 for a $500 gift card among over 62,000 members across South Carolina participating in Beat the Peak, as well as a drawing for a $100 gift card among Fairfield Electric Cooperative’s participating members. If you previously registered, you are eligible to win and do not need to sign up again.

Members that register receive alerts projecting system-wide energy peaks—typically occurring in the late afternoon of high temperature days during the summer or cold winter mornings. By voluntarily delaying the use of large appliances, adjusting your thermostat or just turning off some lights during these peak times, you’ll be helping to lower wholesale power costs.
